High Range Resourses Pvt Ltd, the complaint, is represented by Dunia Shahari.

According to the State, Mathuthu approached Shahari at some point in June 2023 to request permission to market the latter’s residential stands, which go by the names Victoria Range in Masvingo, Makonde Heights in Chinhoyi, and Boronica Chiedza Park in Manyame-Beatrice.

Given the task of marketing, Mathuthu was expected to direct clients to the complaint in exchange for a five percent commission.

Using the business name Kudamp Investments, Mathuthu began selling the stands and said that customers would purchase them by making monthly installment payments via him.

After seeing the ads, the gullible customers went to Mathuthu to make payments.
