Six robbers struck a company in the Workington area this week, assaulting a security guard before making off with a Honda Fit vehicle, US$42,000 in cash, and various electrical devices.
During the incident, the six assailants, masked and armed with pistols and an okapi knife, targeted the company premises.
National police spokesperson Assistant Commissioner Paul Nyathi confirmed the robbery, stating that police in Mbare are actively pursuing the suspects.

“The suspects forcibly entered the company offices, where they stole US$42,000 cash, an Apple Macbook Pro Laptop, a black jacket, two Samsung laptops, two iPhone cellphones, and a wallet,” Assistant Commissioner Nyathi stated.
Following the theft, the robbers fled the scene in the victim’s Honda Fit, later abandoning it along Nyashanu Road in Kambuzuma.
Police urge anyone with information to come forward and report to the nearest police station.
