Delta Corporation, one of Zimbabwe’s leading beverage companies, has reaffirmed its dedication to community development with the commissioning of two fully furnished classroom blocks and ablution facilities at Mudzengi Primary School in Chirumanzu District, Midlands Province.
The handover ceremony was officiated by the Minister of State for Midlands Province, Honourable Owen Ncube.
Speaking on behalf of Delta Corporation, General Manager for Corporate Affairs, Patricia Murambinda, highlighted the company’s long-standing commitment to improving education infrastructure.
“This significant investment in education is part of Delta’s commitment to giving back to the community and promoting academic excellence,” said Murambinda.
The newly built classrooms are fully furnished with modern amenities, ensuring that students have access to a conducive learning environment. This initiative is part of Delta’s ongoing 25-year program, which has seen the company commission a new block of two classrooms annually.
Murambinda further expressed Delta’s pride in empowering future generations through education.
“We are thrilled to hand over these state-of-the-art classrooms to Mudzengi Primary School,” she stated. “As a responsible corporate citizen, we recognize the importance of education in shaping the future of our nation, and we are committed to supporting initiatives that promote academic excellence.”
The School Head, Mr. Serere, praised Delta Corporation’s generosity, noting that the investment would greatly enhance the school’s learning environment and improve educational opportunities for local children.
