Dramatic Win Propels Simba Bhora to Top of Castle Lager Premier Soccer League

Simba Bhora has seized the top spot in the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League, following a gripping 3-2 victory over Herentals on Saturday. This win propels them to 40 points from 20 games, matching MWOS, but securing their lead on goal difference.

The match was a rollercoaster of emotions as Simba Bhora twice clawed their way back from a deficit. Isakar Gurirab was the hero, converting penalties in the 39th and 55th minutes. Never Tigere then sealed the deal with the decisive goal in the 66th minute, sending Simba Bhora fans into a frenzy.

Elsewhere, Yadah secured a narrow 1-0 win against MWOS at Heart Stadium, thanks to Terrence Daka’s remarkable goal directly from a corner kick.

At Baobab Stadium, Scottland emerged victorious, overcoming Ngezi Platinum Stars with a 2-1 scoreline.

Meanwhile, Dynamos find themselves in a precarious position, teetering on the brink of relegation after succumbing to a 1-0 defeat against TelOne at Ascot Stadium. Washington Navaya’s 56th-minute header proved to be the difference for the Gweru-based side. Dynamos now languish second from bottom, with a mere 15 points from 19 matches.

In other league action, ZPC Kariba and Manica Diamonds played out a goalless draw at Nyamhunga Stadium. FC Platinum edged out Chicken Inn 1-0 at Mandava, while Bikita Minerals secured a 1-0 win over Kwekwe United at Gibbo.
