Duma and Kasuza Exposed in Land Grab Scandal

A hard-hitting investigation has unearthed a web of corruption involving Councillor Blessing Duma and notorious land baron Daniel Kasuza, revealing a series of illegal land seizures and abuse of authority spanning across Harare.

Sources close to the matter confirmed that Kasuza has been financially sponsoring Duma, a disgraced former City of Harare employee with a criminal past, now elected as a councillor.

The duo is accused of unlawfully grabbing land in Hatfield, specifically on George Walker Street, without council approval or due process.

The scandal deepens in Mabvuku-Tafara, where Duma and Kasuza have reportedly invaded at least four sites shockingly including the sacred grounds of the Tafara Cemetery.

Investigations revealed the pair is aggressively pushing for the regularisation of the seized stands, despite strong resistance from Harare City Council’s top officials.

In their bid to strong-arm city officials, Duma and Kasuza have openly accused top officials of blocking development, yet sources within the council suggest this is a smokescreen to cover up their unlawful activities.

Further probing uncovered that the Mabvuku-Tafara District Officer, Caeser Munetsi, has been working in cahoots with the duo.

Munetsi is allegedly using his office to facilitate the illegal land occupations and fast-track documentation for unapproved stands.

Duma’s dubious political rise is marked by scandal.

Previously dismissed from the City of Harare’s traffic department for embezzlement, he has since found new power and new controversy in council politics.

Insiders allege that Duma is heavily reliant on the codeine-based substance BronchiClear substance which impairs his judgment and fuels erratic decisions.

The Harare City Council has yet to issue a formal statement, but pressure is mounting for a full criminal investigation into the land baron-politician nexus threatening to destabilize urban housing order and desecrate city of Harare land.
