Fatal Stabbing Tragedy Strikes Silobela as Police Pursue Suspect in Nkayi Hospital Murder
Local police are currently investigating a tragic incident involving the fatal stabbing of Narvel Ndlovu at Nkayi Hospital. The incident occurred on February 29, 2024, around 5:00 PM, in the Chief Malisa area of Silobela.
According to Midlands Police, the altercation ensued between the deceased, Narvel Ndlovu, and the suspected assailant, 20-year-old Nkosikhona Ncube, both residents of Village Rungu under Chief Malisa, Silobela. The dispute, believed to have originated from a romantic issue, escalated into a physical confrontation resulting in a scuffle.
During the altercation, Nkosikhona Ncube allegedly produced an Okapi knife from his pocket and fatally stabbed Ndlovu once in the neck. Ndlovu collapsed and lost consciousness, while Ncube fled the scene. Despite being rushed to Nkayi Hospital, Ndlovu tragically succumbed to his injuries upon arrival.
The police are urging the public to seek peaceful resolutions for disputes and avoid resorting to violence. They also appeal to anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of the suspect, Nkosikhona Ncube, to come forward and contact their nearest Police Station.
