To avoid paying maintenance, a TRUCK DRIVER acquired a second birth certificate for his daughter, naming his brother and second wife as the parents.
Following their divorce in 2013, Samuel Dhokotera’s ex-wife, Priscilla Mupfukudzwa (39), sought for support for their daughter, Yvonne.
Samuel (41) then obtained a second birth certificate for Yvonne (15), naming his brother Jeremiah as the father and his second wife as the mother.
He intended to mislead his employer so that no deductions would be made from his pay.
As a result, Yvonne now has two birth certificates.
One of the records states that her parents are Samuel and Priscilla, while the other states that her father is Jeremiah and her mother is Samuel’s second wife, Netsai Manzinde.
Nyanga District obtained the second birth certificate.
According to Priscilla, she left Samuel because of recurrent abuse.
“I regret ever marrying Samuel because of what I went through,” she stated.
“When we divorced, I threatened to file for maintenance, which is why he obtained a second birth certificate for our child.”
“Samuel works for a well-known transportation company, and Jeremiah is self-employed.”
“Samuel wanted to produce a birth certificate in Jeremiah’s name and his second wife’s name to prevent more money being deducted from his salary since Jeremiah is unemployed.”
Jeremiah accused Samuel of secretly stealing his ID.
“I never went with Samuel to the Registrar’s Office.”
“He must have stolen my identity document,” Jeremiah speculated.
All queries were directed to Jeremiah by Samuel.
“Yvonne is my daughter.” “You should ask Jeremiah about the other birth certificate,” he said.
Samuel and Jeremiah are members of the Johanne Marange sect, which prohibits members from suing one another.
