Norman Mapeza, the coach of FC Platinum, has made a comeback as the interim head coach for the Warriors for the upcoming four-nations tournament in Malawi.
The Warriors have been without a coach since Baltemar Brito, the gaffer for Highlanders, departed last year.
The announcement of Mapeza’s appointment was made by the Zifa Normalisation Committee in a statement released on Tuesday. It was further mentioned that Ngezi Platinum Stars head coach would assist Mapeza in his role.
Following the departure of Baltemar Brito, the Warriors have been in search of a coach to lead them.

Mapeza, who currently serves as the head coach of FC Platinum in the Zimbabwe Premier League, boasts multiple league titles under his leadership.
Additionally, Mapeza has previously served as both the national team captain and head coach, bringing a wealth of experience to his new role.
Zifa has also announced the appointment of Simon Marange, the reserve team coach of Orlando Pirates, as the head coach of the Zimbabwe Under-20 men’s team. Marange will receive assistance from former Aces Academy head coach, Backlyfield Chivenga.
