The arrested suspects are Nkosiyazi Nyathi (20), Vusumuzi Ncube (22), Mgcini Sibanda (24), Mlungisi Ndlovu (41), and Nkosiyazi Moyo (27). Police are still searching for a sixth suspect, Alex Nyathi, also known as Samduduzi, who remains at large.

Authorities recovered a Norinco pistol from the suspects, who were reportedly using two firearms to commit armed robberies, particularly in the Cowdray Park area.

The arrests began on December 12, when police received a tip-off about individuals in possession of a firearm. This led to the capture of Nkosiyazi Nyathi and Vusumuzi Ncube in Cowdray Park.
