Born on August 24, 1985, in Harare, Zimbabwe, Pokello grew up in a society that was rapidly evolving, much like her own aspirations.

She attended Alexandra Park Primary School in Harare before proceeding to Kyle College in Masvingo for her secondary education. During these years, she displayed an early interest in fashion and style, a passion that would later define her career.

After high school, Pokello’s quest for knowledge took her to Monash University in South Africa, where she pursued a degree in Media and Communications. This choice was a testament to her desire to understand the world of media, an industry she would soon become intimately familiar with.

Her time at Monash was not just about academics; it was a period of self-discovery and honing her unique style and personality.

Long before the world knew her as a reality TV star, Pokello was already carving out a niche for herself in the business world. Her entrepreneurial spirit was evident from a young age.

After completing her university education, she returned to Zimbabwe and began exploring various business opportunities.

In 2011, Pokello made a significant move by opening her first boutique, “Addicted 2 Shoes,” in Harare. The boutique quickly became a hit, catering to a clientele that appreciated her keen eye for fashion and her ability to source trendy footwear.

Pokello Nare was known in her social circles as a dynamic and ambitious woman long before her rise to fame. Friends and family describe her as someone with an innate sense of style and a charismatic personality.

She was often seen at social events in Harare, always dressed impeccably and exuding confidence.

Despite being a focused daddy’s little princess, In December 2011, Pokello hogged the limelight when her tape with Stunner was leaked by the tabloid, H-Metro. The two-minute clip showed Pokello having unprotected mjolo with local musician Stunner.

Her father, a retired military officer, said he did not condone his daughter’s behavior, but castigated the person who leaked the video. He also said his daughter was strong enough not to be weakened by the tape.

Pokello’s big break came in 2013 when she was selected to represent Zimbabwe in the reality TV show, Big Brother Africa: The Chase. Her participation in the show was a game-changer, catapulting her to instant fame across the continent.
