Fraudster 'Mike Chimombe' Injured After Falling From Prison Truck

Harare, Zimbabwe – Fraudster businessman Mike Chimombe made a memorable entrance at the Harare Magistrates Court yesterday. Chimombe slipped and fell as he disembarked from the prison truck, taking a nasty tumble down the stairs and hitting the ground hard.

Despite sustaining minor injuries to his head and hand, Chimombe quickly received assistance from fellow inmates and was swiftly escorted into the courtroom.

Contrary to initial rumors that he had collapsed, it was later clarified that Chimombe had simply slipped.

Inside the courtroom, Chimombe appeared to be in good spirits, chatting amiably with Prophet Passion Java, who was present to offer moral support.

Chimombe, along with Moses Mpofu, is facing fraud charges and spent another night in remand prison as their bail hearing was postponed to today.

The duo appeared before magistrate Marehwanazvo Gofa, with Prosecutor Anesu Chirenje leading evidence from lead investigator Henry Chapwanya, who opposed bail.

Chapwanya argued against granting bail, emphasizing the gravity of the alleged crime. “The goat scheme was intended to alleviate poverty in underprivileged communities and help achieve the President’s vision of a middle-income society.

Economic saboteurs must be handled with an iron fist. They are interfering with investigations, as evidenced by a memo they released on social media on June 24, jeopardizing our work,” he stated.

With time running short, the court session was adjourned, and the matter will continue today.
