A beer-fueled altercation took a tragic turn in Glen View on March 4, when three men assaulted and killed Geodricks Mushonga over a past romantic relationship with a mutual acquaintance.

Mushonga suffered fatal stab wounds to his head, neck, and back during the brawl, leading to his immediate demise.

Last Takundwa, an illegal gold panner, appeared in court yesterday facing murder charges before Harare magistrate Mr. Dennis Mangosi. He was remanded to March 27 for routine procedures.

According to State prosecutor Mr. Nigel Chanakira, the incident occurred around 2 am on March 4 inside Big Dhara Nite Club at Glen View 4 Shopping Centre in Harare. Takundwa and his accomplices, Robson Takundwa and Justin Magedhi, were drinking when a dispute erupted with Mushonga concerning a former girlfriend of Last.
