A tragic event occurred in Gokwe on Friday night when a Toyota Hiace carrying 19 people had an accident that claimed two lives and injured 17. The truck went off the road, crashed, and came to rest on its right side along a gravel road close to Mavhulele Village in Gokwe South District, Midlands Province, according to a statement issued by the Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP).
The ZRP verified the event and said that although the injured people are being treated at the same hospital, the bodies of the deceased have been taken to the mortuary of Gokwe South District Hospital for post-mortem tests.
