Harare Nightclub Bouncer Commits Suicide Over Botched Deal

A popular Harare nightclub bouncer, Dennis Munyikwa, has died after allegedly sli_tting his own throat with a knife at his mother’s house in Warren Park 1 on Thursday afternooon.

According to Zimlive, Munyikwa took his own life following a botched deal involving thousands of US dollars. The details of the deal are not clear, but sources say he was involved in some illegal activities and owed money to some people.

Munyikwa was well-known in the Harare nightlife scene as a bouncer for several clubs, including Club Sankayi, Club 1+1 and Club Connect.

His friends and colleagues have expressed shock and sadness over his death, describing him as a friendly, loyal and hardworking person. They said he was always smiling and cracking jokes, and never showed any signs of depression or stress.

Munyikwa’s family could not be reached for comment, but it is understood that they are devastated by the tragic incident. His body was taken to Parirenyatwa Hospital for a post-mortem examination.

The police have confirmed the case of suicide and said they are investigating the circumstances surrounding Munyikwa’s death.

Munyikwa’s death has come as a shock to his friends and colleagues who described him as a friendly, loyal, and hardworking person.

They noted that he was always smiling and cracking jokes, and never exhibited any signs of depression or stress. However, his family was devastated by the tragedy and declined to comment on the incident.Other updates regarding his burial arrangements will be updated in due course.
