Isaac Kabarapate From Gokwe Dies After Drinking S*x-enhancing Concoction

The unfortunate demise of a 49-year-old man Isaac Kabarapate from Gokwe occurred after reportedly ingesting a purported s*xual enhancement potion provided by a traditional healer.

As outlined by the Chronicle, MacDonald Ndlovu (49), the implicated traditional healer, has been arrested and is currently facing charges of murder.

The incident unfolded on March 13 at approximately 8 AM when Chiedza Mdimuranwa (43) of Chireya Village, under Chief Chireya in Gokwe North, left her husband, Isaac Kabarapate, at home to attend to her garden near the Ume River.

Inspector Emmanuel Mahoko, spokesperson for the Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) in Midlands Province, confirmed the occurrence. Mdimuranwa returned home around 11 AM to discover her husband lying in the bush about 150 meters from their homestead, complaining of stomach pains.

Upon inquiry, Kabarapate purportedly disclosed to his wife that he had sought help from the traditional healer, Ndlovu, for a s*xual dysfunction issue. He claimed that subsequent to ingesting herbs provided by Ndlovu, he started experiencing severe stomach pains and vomiting blood.

Disturbed by his worsening condition, Mdimuranwa and Kabarapate’s brother promptly transported him to Chireya Mission Hospital around 1 AM the following day. Unfortunately, he passed away en route.

Prompt reporting to the authorities led to the arrest of the traditional healer. Ndlovu remains in custody pending further investigation.

Kabarapate’s remains were conveyed to the United Bulawayo Group of Hospitals for a post-mortem examination to determine the cause of death.

While sexual dysfunction affects both genders, men frequently seek out traditional remedies. Common triggers for s*xual dysfunction include medical conditions such as diabetes, heart disease, neurological disorders, hormonal imbalances, and chronic illnesses like kidney or liver failure. Additionally, certain medications and substance abuse can exacerbate s*xual difficulties.
