SA, Johannesburg | An anonymous Turkish team is winning the battle to sign KHAMA Billiat, putting him one step closer to playing football in Europe.
On a crucial day in deciding the future of the Zimbabwean international, Billiat authorised the French-based agents, who have been pressuring him to go to Europe, to act as his representatives in the transaction.
According to a source for ZiMetro News, “that’s a significant development because it sets everything in motion now.”
“It implies that discussions between the agents and the teams they have been speaking to can now go to a new level.
Despite all of the difficulties he has had with injuries in the recent season, “Billiat remains a remarkable talent because the digital footprint of what he has done as a footballer stays there.
“Clubs seek players with the X-Factor, and Billiat has all that. We’ll see some movement in the negotiations immediately, and things may go rapidly.
The deal is nice, and Turkey is still the next likely destination, but there will be discussions, so we’ll have to wait and see how things go.
At the weekend, an unknown Turkish club rekindled their interest in signing the Zimbabwean forwards.
In their opinion, the club is giving him “the best package he can get at his age in Europe.”
Prior to today, the club had lost interest in the transaction, but they have now knocked on Billiat’s door once more.
The club is attempting to close the transaction by employing the French agents.
