Zulu monarch, King Misuzulu kaZwelithini has called off his wedding to Nomzamo Myeni which was scheduled for later this month.
In a letter sent to the Director-General of KwaZulu-Natal Nonhlanhla Mkhize, the King also requested “the immediate withdrawal of all benefits and security detail” previously assigned to Myeni.
“Due to reasons beyond the control of the Royal House, the traditional wedding ceremonies involving Ms. Myeni have been called off,” the monarch wrote.
“As a result, it has become necessary to terminate all associated arrangements,” the King said.

The King said the withdrawal of benefits should be “effective immediately” and “any benefits, allowances, or privileges granted to Ms.Myeni must be ceased”.
He added that the security detail assigned to Myeni should be withdrawn before midday on Sunday, January 19.
I trust that your office will facilitate the implementation of these directives promptly and ensure that all necessary measures are taken to finalise this matter,” he said.
He asked that Mkhize inform him when the requested actions had taken place.
The news comes after a series of tumultuous events within the Royal household including the King’s first wife, Queen Ntokozo Mayisela approaching the Pietermaritzburg High Court to interdict the marriage between the King and Myeni.
This is a developing story.
