Johannesburg, South Africa – Viewers of the fifth season witnessed significant friction between reality TV personalities Londie London and Minnie Ntuli.
The tension began early in the season when Londie made a comment about Minnie’s attire during their initial encounter. The situation escalated dramatically after Minnie allegedly made suggestive remarks about Londie’s source of income, implying she “makes money lying on her back.”
The animosity reached its peak during the reunion special, where previously unaired footage was revealed. This footage depicted Minnie jabbing Londie’s forehead during a heated discussion. Despite the clear provocation, Londie maintained her composure, a display that garnered widespread praise from viewers.
“It felt surreal seeing that scene again,” Londie shared. “But I’m proud I kept my cool. I didn’t let myself get dragged into something ugly. I’m a mother, daughter, and businesswoman. So staying calm was a huge win for me.”
Londie expressed immense gratitude for the outpouring of support she received following the episode’s broadcast.
“My heart is so full,” she said. “The love and encouragement from people has been overwhelming in the best way. I’ve never felt so much warmth and kindness before. I truly don’t take it for granted.”
Minnie Ntuli was notably absent from the reunion, with an apology letter read on her behalf. However, Londie indicated she is still awaiting a more direct and sincere apology.
“She sent me a private text to apologise, which felt very different from her public statement,” Londie explained. “It’s disappointing to be humiliated publicly and not get a sincere, direct apology in public.”
Despite the challenging dynamics, Londie stated she has no regrets about her return to the show.
“This season showed me just how strong I am,” she reflected. “Life keeps throwing challenges at me, but I keep rising. I’ve realised I’m resilient and can’t be shaken by outside noise.”
When asked about a potential full-time return to the show, Londie affirmed she would “absolutely” consider it.
“It’s not only about the cameras,” she added. “It’s about real friendships and history with the women. I’d love to keep building on that journey.”
