Controversial self-proclaimed prophet Talent Madungwe is in legal trouble after being arrested for driving a car gifted to him by businessman Wicknell Chivayo without having a driver’s license. He faces charges of negligent driving and operating a vehicle unlawfully.
Madungwe, known for his outrageous claims such as dining with God in Heaven, now confronts serious repercussions for his traffic offenses. Chivayo had given him a Toyota Aqua, appreciating Madungwe’s entertaining personality, but had stipulated that he obtain a valid driver’s license as part of the gift.

In Harare Magistrate’s Court, prosecutors stated that Madungwe did not possess a license at the time of his arrest. The case has attracted significant public interest, with many voicing their opinions on social media some questioning why he is taken seriously and others expressing disbelief at his behavior.
Madungwe was released on bail while awaiting his next court appearance, as the case was postponed for amendments to the charges. This latest incident adds another chapter to his already controversial and colorful public persona in Zimbabwe.
