Madzibaba Ishmael had six children with five minors, and he is accused of raping them. The events are thought to have occurred between 2018 and early this year, with the youngest juvenile being 13 and the oldest being 16. It was suggested that he apply for bail considerations at the High Court.
After being granted bail, he was only allowed to spend a few hours at home before being taken before the Norton Magistrate’s Court and accused of five rapes. After 45 days in remand prison, Madzibaba Ishmael was freed on bond on Friday.
The High Court granted him US$1000 bail.
However, he was back in court and in remand prison on Saturday because he is now being charged with the alleged rape of five youngsters.

According to the State, Madzibaba Ishmael had s*x with the first minor when she was thirteen years old, and as a result, one baby was born.
Two children were allegedly born as a result of his claimed s*xual contacts with another adolescent, who was 14 years old. Madzibaba Ishmael is said to have had intercourse with two more girls, both of whom are fifteen, and with whom he has two children.
Once more, the cult leader had s*x with a 16-year-old, which led to the birth of another child. He is said to have fathered five teenagers and six children in total. The case was postponed until May 7.
Purity Chikangaise, the cult leader’s attorney, has vowed to get the leader released on bail, citing the High Court’s previous ruling that the man is eligible.
She intends to use Madzibaba Ishmael’s declining health as justification for her claims, noting that he is still recuperating from the poisoning episode from the previous year.
Sections 3(1) and (2) of the Burial and Cremation Act 5:03 and Sections 7(1) and (5) of the Children’s Act 5:06 were the original grounds for Madzibaba Ishmael’s detention.
Along with Devlodge Katsande (47), Zebediah Sigudu (49), Aaron Chokurongerwa (47), Wonder Kabaya (41), Takavengwa Gwenzi (55), and Siribiniyo Chikunire (53), he is co-accused.
