Meet the Stunning and Beautiful 'Ruvheneko Parirenyatwa'

Ruvheneko Parirenyatwa, a Zimbabwean radio personality, Master of Ceremony (MC), and youth activist, gained prominence for her incisive interviews on ZiFM Stereo. Transitioning to her self-titled YouTube show in June 2019, she continued to captivate audiences.

Formerly serving as ZiFM Stereo’s Programming Manager, she briefly held the position of Projects Manager at Zimpapers’ Radio Broadcasting Division, a move she later regretted, citing a choice of “security over destiny.”

Parirenyatwa’s career has seen her engage with local and international business, political, and entertainment figures. Born on September 15, 1988, she is the daughter of politician and medical doctor David Parirenyatwa and the granddaughter of liberation war hero Tichafa Parirenyatwa. She is the sixth child in a family of seven.

Her educational journey led her to Chisipite Senior School and the University of Cape Town (UCT), where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Media, Writing, and Political Science, alongside a Diploma in Marketing. Additionally, she pursued studies in International Relations at the University of Zimbabwe from 2016 to 2018.

In her personal life, Parirenyatwa filed for divorce from her husband Basil Mafara in the High Court, citing irreconcilable differences. They married in April 2014, opting for a union out of community of property.

Parirenyatwa’s broadcasting career blossomed during her time at UCT, where she hosted the university’s Current Affairs Talk Show. Her rise to prominence saw her nominated for the Africa Leadership Project and serving as the MC at the Miss Zimbabwe 2014 pageant.

Resigning from ZiFM Stereo in November 2016 due to workplace frustrations, Parirenyatwa returned to the spotlight in January 2017 with an exclusive interview featuring Stunner. Her tenure at ZBC as director of corporate communications ended abruptly in April 2020.

Despite challenges, Parirenyatwa remains active in youth advocacy as Deputy Chairperson of the Harare Youth Council. She refutes claims of political influence from her father and has weathered public controversies, including a legal dispute with Grain Millers Association of Zimbabwe chairman Tafadzwa Musarara.
