Mliswa’s Daughter ‘M’diwa’ Denied Bail!
FORMER Norton MP Temba Mliswa demands stiff consequences for members of drug gangs whose contraband is wreaking havoc inside communities and destroying lives.
It followed the arrest of his daughter, M’diwa (20), for possession of hazardous substances.
She appeared at the Harare Magistrates’ Court on Saturday on drug allegations and was remanded in detention.
“Peddling drugs should be equated with attempted murder, as the path of drug use is one highway to death. I have seen youngsters in a shambles due of drug use,” said Mliswa.
“I commend the ZRP for a job well done in dealing with the drug problem.
“For her, I hope this may be the Damascene moment from which she emerges changed and ready to be transformed.
“I will continue supporting her as my daughter and pray that she sees the light away from this path. If she is a victim of pals, then she must find new associates.
“Rehabilitation may be the way to salvation after this. This is harsh love I’m delivering since I feel massaging one while they are into drugs may be ultimately harmful in the long run.
“I’m a parent, not just to my own children, but many others in the community and thus my message and position remain the same.”
Allegations are that on February 22, at approximately noon, detectives from CID narcotics Harare, got information that M’diwa was in possession of narcotics.
Detectives proceeded to the stated address and discovered the accused in the residence.
They searched the premises and seized one bag of crystal meth in the dining room under the sofa.
The narcotics weighed roughly 1.39 grams with a street value of $195 000.
Mliswa warned parents neither to forsake their children in anger nor suffocate them with excessive affection.
He stated M’diwa has failed to abide by the roadmap he applied to his other kids.
“One of my daughters, the third born who stays with her mother, was arrested over a drug charge,” Mliswa said on X (previously Twitter).

“She is a brilliant kid who has done well at school, but in the past has refused to abide by the roadmap I apply to my other kids.
“At 18, I sat her down on her future plans, but she refused it, even to stay with me.
“This isn’t to blame her mother, but to reveal how she was as a child. Being an advocate against drug usage and a parent again might be a challenging moment.
“However, I reiterate my position that drugs are bad and we have to fight them. If it entails arresting criminals, then so be it, since it may be the only way to save them from themselves.”
