As part of their ongoing dedication to public health, the Ministry advocates the following precautions:
- Stay Informed: Educate yourself about the species of snakes present in your locality and their typical habitats.
- Wear Appropriate Clothing: When entering areas known for snake activity, consider donning protective attire, such as long pants and sturdy boots.
- Watch Your Step: Exercise caution and be mindful of your surroundings, particularly in tall grass, rocky terrain, or spots where snakes may lurk.
- Avoid Provoking Snakes: Maintain a safe distance if you come across a snake and refrain from attempting to handle or provoke it.
- Seek Immediate Medical Attention: In case of a snake bite, promptly seek medical aid. Refrain from trying to treat the bite yourself.
