The Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Commision (Zacc) has detained a mother from Mutare on suspicion of forging her daughter’s Advanced Level diploma.
Lillian Matuso was remanded in detention on US$100 bail after appearing before Harare judge Marehwanazvo Gofa on forgery allegations.
She is due back in court on October 28 for her trial.
Prosecutors said Zacc investigated a case in which Molyn Mugodi, who is currently on detention, was found to be falsifying Zimbabwe Examination Council credentials sometime in June 2022.
Mugodi was linked to Matuso, and investigations revealed that they fabricated the certificate for the accused’s daughter, who wanted to study nursing in Cyprus.
