ZANU PF Secretary for Information and Publicity, Christopher Mutsvangwa, has emphasized the profound and enduring connection between President Emmerson Mnangagwa and his deputy, Constantino Chiwenga.
According to Mutsvangwa, their bond was forged over decades of confronting Zimbabwe’s most formidable challenges and is, he insists, unbreakable.
In a statement released to The Herald on Tuesday night, Mutsvangwa revealed his close working relationship with both President Mnangagwa and Vice President Chiwenga, spanning over five decades. He stated, “They have been well steeled through the toughest of character tests. A petty or fleeting quarrel is never carried into battle as comrades wade into battle. The stakes are so high. They pale at the prospect of supreme sacrifice.”
Mutsvangwa further elaborated on the nature of their relationship, adding, “Tiffs have no place in gunfire being exchanged in anger with the enemy. Your comrade is, after all, your keeper.”
