Operation Dudula Leader Accuses Zimbabweans of “Entitlement” in Immigration Debate

Johannesburg, South Africa – Operation Dudula president Zandile Dabula has sparked controversy by claiming Zimbabweans are overly sensitive and feel “entitled” to reside in South Africa, even if they are undocumented. Speaking on the “King David Studio Podcast,” Dabula criticized what she sees as a quickness to take offense whenever South Africans voice concerns about illegal immigration.

Dabula, who spearheads a movement advocating against undocumented immigrants, stated, “I don’t know why Zimbabweans think they are special. Every time when you talk of foreigners, they are the first ones to respond. Immediately, when you talk of illegal immigrants, the first response you will get, even on a social media platform, is a Zimbabwean. They feel so entitled that they are supposed to be here.”

While Operation Dudula has garnered support from some South Africans, it has also been widely criticized for allegedly promoting xenophobia, an accusation its leadership consistently denies.

During the podcast, Dabula and fellow member Ayanda Ndlovu conceded that crime isn’t exclusive to any nationality. However, they asserted that foreign nationals are now significantly involved in South Africa’s criminal activities, arguing that the influx of undocumented immigrants has exacerbated crime rates.
