A single lucky player hit the jackpot in Friday night’s Powerball draw, walking away with over R43 million. The prize for the October 11, 2024 draw totaled exactly R43,158,293.10.
In addition, four players matched five numbers correctly, each earning R111,755.60. Meanwhile, 150,266 participants correctly guessed the Powerball number, securing R10 each.
The Powerball Plus jackpot, which stood at R51 million, was not claimed this time. However, 25 players in the third division matched four numbers plus the Powerball, winning R13,367.10 each.
With no winner, the Powerball Plus jackpot has now rolled over for the 20th time and stands at R55 million for the next draw on October 15, 2024.
The National Lottery Ithuba reminded participants that tickets remain valid for 365 days after the draw. Players must be at least 18 years old, and those who win R50,000 or more are offered complimentary financial advice and counseling.
