Zimbabweans have criticized Prophet Edd Branson for predicting Joe Biden’s decision to withdraw from the presidential election instead of addressing his wife’s alleged illicit affairs with Wicknell Chivhayo.
Recently, Branson’s wife, Hadassah, made headlines on social media when leaked chats between her and Chivhayo surfaced. However, she denied the claims and dismissed the leaked chats as fake, accusing them of being part of a character assassination attempt.
“I don’t normally respond to things people say about me because I honestly don’t see the need to when the people that matter know the truth. But it is very sad that we live in a world where people are so heartless as to edit normal conversations to create a false narrative just to push their own agenda, whether it is for their personal views or revenge. Only God knows. A lie indeed travels around the world while the truth is still putting on its shoes,” she said.

In response to the scandal, Edd Branson referred to a prophecy he made on July 14, 2024, regarding the US presidential election. In a video streamed on his channel, he claimed that he had foreseen someone not completing the presidential race, which came true when Joe Biden withdrew from the race.
He sarcastically remarked, “Do you think I cannot see what is happening on my side? I have seen this, and it has come to pass. You guys love lies, not the truth.”
Reacting to this, a netizen commented, “N’anga haizvirape mukuru,” implying that the prophet cannot help himself, thus questioning his ability to foresee events.
