Harare, Zimbabwe | In a recent sermon, Prophet Makandiwa of the UFIC church asserted that individuals have been deliberately misled, suggesting the existence of forces suppressing the truth. This statement comes amidst his continued engagement with theories often deemed conspiratorial.
The flat earth theory, an ancient concept scientifically refuted, posits the Earth as a flat plane or disk. While prevalent in some ancient cultures, it has seen a curious revival as a conspiracy theory in the 21st century.
This isn’t the first time Makandiwa has ventured into such territories. In 2020, during the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic, he propagated a theory linking 5G mobile telecommunications masts to the virus’s spread.

Furthermore, he claimed a clandestine agenda to implant electronic devices into people under the guise of COVID-19 vaccinations.
At one point, Makandiwa publicly declared his refusal to take the COVID-19 vaccine, stating he was prepared to defy government directives and face arrest. However, he later reversed his stance, encouraging his followers to get vaccinated.
