Zimdancehall artist, Chigudo Chihomuhomu (29), who is currently serving a nine-year jail term for rape, has written a new song titled “Dhoropito,” with the help of other inmates.
He is now appealing to recording companies to help him record it.
Chihomuhomu says he regrets committing a crime which resulted in him being sent to jail.
He was among a group of prisoners taken on an educational tour of Munashe High Private School in Mutoko on Monday.
He and another jailed artist, named Chirenje, entertained students and fellow inmates playing songs which targeted drugs and substance abuse.
“I regret failing to control myself,” said Chihomuhomu.
“Iyezvino ndadzidza kuti meso anodzikamiswa ndapfidza zvangu.
“I have penned a song with the help of other inmates and am appealing for recording companies to help me,” he said.
