Businesswoman and model Hillary Makaya recently found herself in the spotlight after her traditional marriage to Andrew Manongere, a well-known Zimbabwean businessman, for a hefty lobola of US$40,000.
Hillary Makaya celebrated her marriage with great enthusiasm, sharing numerous clips on social media. In one video, she could be heard shouting “vamama” excitedly, which translates to “They have suffered,” reflecting her joy and perhaps a nod to those who doubted her.
Makaya revealed in her Instagram stories that she went all out for her special day, hiring a glam squad from Nigeria for her makeup and styling. She also mentioned that her dress was imported, adding to the opulence of the event.

Andrew Manongere, Hillary’s new husband, is not only a prominent businessman but is also rumored to be already married, making Hillary his second wife. Manongere has previously been in the news for his relationship with activist Joanna Mamombe and his claims of being related to the President of Zimbabwe.
