Overview:
The Rotary Foundation provides scholarship funding through its Rotary Foundation Global Grants, supporting graduate-level coursework or research spanning one to four academic years.
Host Institution(s):
Applicants can study at any accredited university located in a country hosting a Rotary club or district, excluding their home country.
Fields of Study:
The scholarships cover graduate-level coursework or research in one of Rotary’s six areas of focus: Peace and conflict prevention/resolution, Disease prevention and treatment, Water and sanitation, Maternal and child health, Basic education and literacy, and Economic and community development.
Target Group:
The scholarships target non-Rotarians sponsored by Rotary Districts or Clubs.
Scholarship Coverage:
The minimum budget for a global grant scholarship is $30,000, covering expenses such as passport/visa fees, inoculations, travel expenses (as outlined in the grant terms), school supplies, tuition, accommodation, household supplies, and language training courses (if not a condition for university admission). Personal and miscellaneous expenses are typically not covered.

Application Process:
Interested candidates can contact their local Rotary clubs via the Rotary Club Locator to inquire about sponsorship for the grant. Global grant applications are submitted online. The initial application is created by sponsor clubs or districts, and then the scholar candidate completes the scholar profile online.
Global grant scholarship applications are accepted throughout the year on a rolling basis. However, applicants should submit their applications at least three months before their intended departure date to allow sufficient time for Foundation review and processing. **Please note that each Rotary Club/District may have its own timeline.
