Rufaro Stadium Roars Back to Life as PSL Action Returns!

Excitement fills the air as Rufaro Stadium, a historic venue for Zimbabwean football, prepares to welcome back Premier League action today after a hiatus of five years. Caps United will host league newcomers Bikita Minerals in what promises to be a thrilling encounter at this iconic venue.

Rufaro Stadium, nestled in Mbare, last witnessed top-flight league action in 2019 before undergoing renovations, which commenced only last year. While the refurbishment work is still ongoing, authorities have given the green light for the stadium to host league matches, albeit with some modifications.

A Zifa First Instance Board team conducted a final assessment of the stadium, granting provisional approval for matches to be played while renovation efforts continue. Although no official statement has been released by the Premier Soccer League (PSL), a Caps United official confirmed that the match will proceed as scheduled.

Caps United supporters, displaying unwavering dedication to their club, lent a helping hand by offering their labor to spruce up the stadium. Their efforts reflect the passionate support that fuels Zimbabwean football.

As Caps United takes to the field against league debutants Bikita Minerals, fans anticipate a triumphant return to their beloved stadium. Under the guidance of coach Lloyd Chitembwe, the Green Machine aims to build on their recent victory against the Students and secure another win on home turf.
