Police in Chegutu are investigating the deaths of two women, Sekai Antonio (59) and Alice Zhuwao (54), whose bodies were discovered at Stockdale Farm on September 8, 2024. The victims, who were reported missing on September 6 from Pfupajena, Chegutu, were found lifeless in the bushes of the farm.
According to the police, Sekai’s body was discovered with a deep cut on her head and bruises across her body, indicating a violent assault.
Alice’s body was found approximately 100 meters away from Sekai’s, also with a deep cut on the head. Both bodies have been taken to Chegutu Hospital mortuary for post-mortem examinations as investigations continue to determine the circumstances surrounding their deaths.
In a separate incident, police in Hwange are searching for a suspect identified only as Usher in connection with the murder of Mqondisi Sibanda (41), which occurred near Chipale River, Lusulu, on September 6, 2024.
It is reported that the suspect and the victim had a confrontation over an unknown issue, which escalated into a fight. Sibanda’s body was later found with a cut on his forehead, suggesting a fatal altercation.

The police are appealing to the public for any information that could assist in the arrest of the suspect Usher. Anyone with knowledge of his whereabouts or any details related to the incidents is urged to report to their nearest police station.
Both cases have left communities in shock and fear as the police intensify their investigations to bring the perpetrators to justice. Authorities are urging residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to prevent further violence.
