On Friday evening, a student from Chegutu allegedly killed a lady he had met up with during a drinking binge.
Residents in the little community were taken aback by Midlands States University student Tavonga Makotore’s conduct.
Assistant Commissioner Paul Nyathi, a national police spokeswoman, verified the event.
“Police in Chegutu have arrested Tavonga Makotore (25) in connection with a murder case that occurred on Friday at a house along 17th Street Heroes, Pfupajena.”
