21-Year-Old Student Teacher Found Dead with Injuries, Police Search for Boyfriend

A student teacher from Guinea Fowl High School was found dead on school grounds on Saturday, just a day after being seen with her alleged boyfriend.

The deceased, identified as 21-year-old Keener Tsanana, was discovered lying in a room with visible injuries, including a swollen forehead and bruises across her body.

Commissioner Paul Nyathi, spokesperson for the Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP), stated to H-Metro that authorities are seeking to question Keener’s boyfriend, 27-year-old Valentine Tamuka Zivera, in connection with her death.

“The body was found on January 25 at approximately 8 pm. The deceased has been identified as Keener Tsanana, a student teacher at Guinea Fowl High School,” Nyathi confirmed.

Simbarashe Dzimba, a security guard at the school, was the one who reported the incident to the police.

Investigation findings indicated that Keener was seen on January 24 with Valentine Tamuka, a student from Hillside Teachers College in Bulawayo, believed to be her boyfriend. The two were seen entering the school grounds together.

Authorities also found Zivera’s belongings in the room where Keener’s body was found.

As of now, Zivera’s whereabouts remain unknown, and police are requesting anyone with information regarding his location to come forward.
