TAGWIREI DRAMA RUMBLES ON

TAGWIREI DRAMA RUMBLES ON

ZiMetro News can exclusively report on a notable contradiction within the ruling Zanu PF party regarding the co-option of new members.

While the party’s legal secretary, Patrick Chinamasa, has announced that five individuals have been co-opted into the central committee, the official spokesperson, Christopher Mutsvangwa, insists that no official position has been released.

In a statement to The Standard, Mutsvangwa firmly asserted his role as the sole authority for communicating the party’s official stance. When pressed for a reaction to Chinamasa’s comments, Mutsvangwa was direct: “I am the Zanu PF spokesperson. I will surely not speak for Chinamasa. My import is to speak for the party and its president.” He then suggested the reporter direct all further questions to Chinamasa himself, even offering to provide his contact information.
