TB Joshua Secrets Exposed By Church Members…Rape, Forced Abortions, Assault

The late TB Joshua, the founder of the Synagogue Church of All Nations, one of the biggest Christian evangelical congregations in the world, has been shown by the BBC to have engaged in extensive abuse and torture.

The accusations, which cover over 20 years, include forced abortions, rape, and other crimes. Numerous former members of the church, five of whom are from the UK, have shared their stories.

The charismatic televangelist TB Joshua, who had a sizable worldwide following, passed away in 2021. The Synagogue Church of All Nations’ secluded campus in Lagos is where the alleged abuse took place.

A British lady called Rae was among the victims who spoke of experiencing sexual assault and being kept in isolation.

Rae’s torture was so severe that she made many attempts at suicide while she was within the facility.

The Synagogue Church of All Nations, known for its Christian TV channel Emmanuel TV, has not responded to the allegations but has previously denied unfounded claims.

The church attracted pilgrims from around the world, and more than 25 former disciples from various countries spoke to the BBC about their experiences, comparing them to being in a cult.

Jessica Kaimu from Namibia revealed that her ordeal lasted over five years, including instances of rape by TB Joshua leading to five forced abortions. Other testimonies included being stripped, beaten with electrical cables and horse whips, and routinely denied sleep.

The BBC’s investigation, conducted with open Democracy, marks the first time multiple former church insiders have come forward on the record, claiming to have faced silencing attempts.

TB Joshua was considered one of the most influential pastors in African history, building an evangelical empire that garnered support from political leaders, celebrities, and international figures.

Despite controversy surrounding a 2014 guesthouse collapse that killed over 100 people, TB Joshua was hailed upon his death.

The BBC’s investigation, featuring witnesses attacked in Nigeria and fired upon, sheds light on the previously unreported abuse within the church.

The Synagogue Church of All Nations has not responded to the recent allegations but maintained that previous claims against TB Joshua were unfounded.

Four British citizens who reported abuse to UK authorities after leaving the church stated that no further action was taken.
