Teenage Hadebe Finds New Home

Zimbabwean football fans have received exciting news as Warriors defender Teenage Hadebe officially joins Turkish Super Lig side Konyasopor.

The 28-year-old, renowned for his time at Kaizer Chiefs, made the move after departing Major League Soccer (MLS) club Houston Dynamo at the close of last year, concluding a three-year stint in the United States.

Hadebe’s transfer to Konyasopor comes as a one-year deal, marking his return to the Turkish top-flight after previously featuring for Yeni Malatyspor. The towering central defender brings a wealth of experience and defensive prowess to his new team, poised to make a significant impact on the pitch.

In an official statement released by Konyasopor, the club expressed their delight at securing Hadebe’s signature.

“Tümosan Konyaspor signed a contract with Teenage Hadebe until the end of the season,” the statement read. The club’s Board Member Nuri Kaymak attended the signing ceremony at MEDAŞ Konya Metropolitan Stadium Press Conference Hall, symbolizing the significance of the acquisition.

Hadebe is set to don the number 15 jersey for Konyasopor, with the club extending warm wishes for success during his tenure. “We welcome Teenage Hadebe and wish them success under our green-white jersey,” the club’s statement continued, highlighting their anticipation for the defender’s contributions on the field.
