The competition, which received over 350 mixtape submissions, has been a testament to the immense talent in Zimbabwe’s DJ scene. At the finals, these top DJs will battle it out for the coveted title of National Carling Black Label Champion DJ and a share of an impressive prize pool exceeding USD15,000.
The stakes are high, and the prizes even higher:
- 1st Prize: USD3,000, a DJ controller, an Apple MacBook, studio monitors, and a cordless microphone.
- 2nd Prize: USD2,000, studio monitors, and a cordless microphone.
Adding to the excitement, reigning champion DJ Irvene X will return to defend his title against this year’s ambitious finalists, promising a thrilling showdown.
The event will also feature electrifying performances by some of Zimbabwe’s top artists in the Zimdancehall and Hip-hop genres.
