Two-Year-Old Battling for Life After Father Poisons Him Amid Domestic Dispute Over Mother’s Hairstyle A two-year-old child, Junior Nyamutambo, is fighting for his life after being poisoned by his father, Tinashe Nyamutambo, following a domestic argument over his mother’s hairstyle.
The incident occurred after Tinashe and his wife, Trish Tsabora, 21, had a disagreement regarding Trish’s hairdo. Trish decided to leave and stay with her parents, leaving Junior in the care of his father.
Allegedly, Tinashe administered rat poison mixed with maheu to Junior before disappearing. Junior was rushed to Sally Mugabe Central Hospital for urgent medical attention.

Assistant Inspector Faith Mapisa, acting Harare provincial police spokesperson, confirmed the case and appealed for information leading to Tinashe’s arrest.
According to Mapisa, the altercation began on January 28, when Tinashe expressed a desire to trim Trish’s hair, believing it was contributing to her behavior. Trish objected, prompting her to leave for her mother’s residence in Garan’anga, Overspill, Epworth, leaving Junior behind with Tinashe.
The following day, Tinashe took Junior to his mother’s home in Mbare before abandoning him there. The child’s incessant crying for his mother prompted his grandmother to take him to Epworth for further care.
