Trey Nyoni has signed his first professional contract with Liverpool FC in the English Premier League.
The 17-year-old midfielder, born in the UK to Zimbabwean parents, is eligible to represent the Zimbabwe national teams.
Liverpool announced the signing, stating:
“Trey Nyoni has signed his first professional contract with Liverpool FC.”
Nyoni joined Liverpool from Leicester City in September 2023. He began his journey with the club in Marc Bridge-Wilkinson’s U18 side, where he quickly made an impact by scoring a late winner in his home debut during a youth Merseyside derby.

After his success with the U18s, the England U18 international moved up to the U21 squad and made his senior debut at 16. He came on as a substitute during a fifth-round Emirates FA Cup match against Southampton at Anfield in February 2024.
Nyoni also participated in the club’s pre-season tour of the USA, where he scored in a friendly against Sevilla. He later captained the Reds’ U19s in a UEFA Youth League match against AC Milan and has become a regular in Barry Lewtas’ U21 team.
Earlier this month, he was named on the bench as Liverpool faced Bologna in the Champions League.
