Jerry Wonder Siziba and Cohen Muleya appeared before the Beitbridge Magistrates’ Court facing charges of robbery, as confirmed by the National Prosecuting Authority of Zimbabwe (NPAZ).

Furthermore, the robbers confiscated the male relative’s phone before fleeing the scene upon noticing a neighbor approaching the homestead.

The following day, while the victims were conducting inquiries, they spotted Siziba at Mutetengwe Business Centre and promptly reported him to the authorities. Upon arrest, a search of Siziba’s person yielded the recovery of the victim’s mobile phone.

Siziba was subsequently sentenced to 12 years in prison, while Muleya was acquitted of the charges. This incident underscores the vulnerability of individuals seeking assistance from traditional healers and highlights the need for heightened vigilance and security measures to safeguard against such criminal acts.
