UK Court Sentenced Jealous Zimbabwean Man to 27 Years For Killing His wife

At Little Hulton, Salford, England, a tragic story came to pass when jealousy escalated into heinous violence. Obert Moyo committed an act of extreme cruelty because he was unable to handle the breakup with Perseverance Ncube.

Motivated by a ceaseless campaign of stalking, Obert Moyo forcedfully entered Ncube’s Dukesgate Grove home on that fateful November 10th. He approached Ncube in the early hours of the morning and stabbed her in the chest while her two children, who were ten and twelve years old, heroically tried to stop him.

During the trial at Minshull Street Crown Court in Manchester, Moyo admitted his guilt and accepted what amounted to a life sentence for the murder. On the first day of the trial, he changed his plea even though he had previously denied the allegations.

The court was informed of the unsettling pattern of Moyo’s behaviour; even after their relationship ended, he continued to harass Ncube. Her children bravely intervened to stop his first violent attack in her bedroom, but Moyo was unfazed and followed Ncube outside, where he mercilessly killed her with a single, fatal blow to the chest. Her children’s cries for assistance echoed throughout the courtroom as the prosecutor went through the graphic details.

Later that day, Moyo was arrested in Bolton, and he was forced to deal with the full force of the law. Ncube’s kid described the severe loss that was inflicted upon him and his sister in a heartbreaking victim impact statement. Now, instead of the simple pleasures of their mother’s hug and talk, their days are clouded by an inexhaustible longing for her presence.
