Walter Musona has pushed back against claims that he was removed from the Warriors camp due to injury, insisting he is in perfect shape despite reports suggesting otherwise.
Musona was recently told to leave camp after head coach Marian “Mario” Marinica allegedly instructed the medical team to conduct scans on him. The reported findings supposedly indicated he was not fit for selection.
Taking to Facebook, the former Polokwane City attacker dismissed the claims outright, declaring he is “1000% fit” and ready to play.
His statement comes amid growing allegations that Marinica is sidelining certain players by having the medical department label them as injured. Some of the affected players allegedly have not been shown their scan results.
Musona is among several players dropped under similar circumstances, including Junior Makunike, Andrew Mbeba, Tymon Machope, Xolani Ndlovu and Emmanuel Jalai — raising concerns over the transparency of the selection process.
