Warriors International Tivonge Rushesha Secures New Deal at Reading
Zimbabwe international Tivonge Rushesha extends his stay with Reading Football Club for one year.

Tivonge Rushesha has committed his future to English League One side Reading by signing a new contract that will keep him at the club until 2025.

The Warriors international midfielder extended his stay with a one-year deal, reinforcing his role in the team’s plans for the upcoming seasons.

Reading Football Club confirmed the new agreement with a statement: “Reading Football Club are delighted to announce that 21-year-old midfielder Tivonge Rushesha has signed a new one-year contract, keeping him in RG2 until the summer of 2025.

Affectionately known within the squad as ‘Tiv’, he was signed from Swansea City last summer and would go on to make 11 First Team appearances across all competitions in 2023-24.”

Rushesha’s move from Swansea City last year proved fruitful, as he quickly integrated into Reading’s squad. Despite being a newcomer, his performances across various competitions have been noteworthy.

His ability to adapt and contribute to the team has earned him this contract extension, highlighting the club’s faith in his potential.

Mark Bowen, Reading’s Head of Football Operations, expressed his satisfaction with securing Rushesha’s signature for another season. “We’re very happy to secure the signature of Tiv for the upcoming season.

His attitude and application around both the First Team and Under 21 sides has been exceptional throughout his first year, and we are all looking forward to seeing him continue his development with us,” Bowen stated.

Rushesha’s new contract not only underscores his importance to the team but also reflects Reading’s commitment to nurturing young talent. As the club looks ahead to the future, Rushesha’s presence in the squad is expected to be instrumental in their campaign.
