“Regrettably, the harsh reality is that the rule of law often fails to protect local employees. It’s likely they reported the employer’s brutality, only to have their complaints brushed aside after the employer greased the palms of investigators. It’s imperative to initiate another investigative documentary shedding light on the deplorable treatment of locals by #Chinese companies and miners. Such an endeavor could uncover compelling evidence. Sadly, the government appears more concerned with appeasing investors lining the pockets of politicians than with safeguarding its own citizens”
