This information was first revealed by prominent Zimbabwean journalist and activist Hopewell Chin’ono, who cited unnamed sources within the Namibian government.
While this development has drawn widespread attention, it remains unconfirmed. The Namibian Electoral Commission (NEC) has yet to issue any official statements either confirming or denying Chivayo’s involvement in the procurement process.
The absence of an official response has left many with unanswered questions, particularly given Chivayo’s controversial business history in Zimbabwe.
Wicknell Chivayo, a high-profile businessman in Zimbabwe, has previously been embroiled in several contentious deals, particularly related to government contracts.
