The Zimbabwe School Examinations Council (ZIMSEC) has unveiled the interbank rate to be utilized for the payment of 2024 June Ordinary and Advanced Level Examination fees.
ZIMSEC clarified that while examination fees are denominated in USD, payments can be made in the currency of choice by parents or guardians.
“Parents opting to pay in USD or Rands can do so until the registration closing dates. Those preferring Zimbabwe Dollars (ZWL) will utilize the rate communicated herein,” stated ZIMSEC.
For payments in ZWL, the designated period is from March 13 to March 20, 2024. During this window, the interbank rate of March 13, 2024, will be employed to ensure uniformity in registration fees for all candidates.

The specified exchange rate for payments stands at ZWL 17,558 to 1 USD during the payment period of March 13 to March 20.
Importantly, ZIMSEC emphasized that examination fees should not be directly deposited into ZMSEC accounts by individual parents. Instead, candidates or parents are instructed to remit payments to the school or registration center for onward transmission to ZIMSEC.
Candidates, parents, and guardians are urged to liaise with their respective centers to ascertain registration closing dates to avoid any inconvenience during the process.
