The Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF) Company has announced a new Virtual Marketplace that will be part of the upcoming Mine Entra 2025 exhibitions, signaling a major leap into digital engagement for the mining industry. This innovative platform is set to elevate the exhibition experience for all participants.
According to ZITF, the new digital initiative is designed to transform how exhibitors connect, engage, and do business. It creates a dynamic online environment that works alongside the physical exhibition, extending its reach and impact.
“We are thrilled to introduce this digital extension of Mine Entra 2025,” said ZITF marketing and communications manager, Thandolwenkosi Nkomo. “The Virtual Marketplace is more than just a platform—it’s a strategic tool that will enable our exhibitors to maximize their visibility, generate leads, and build lasting business relationships.”
The platform will give exhibitors the ability to connect with a wider audience of visitors, potential buyers, and other exhibitors who share their business interests. Key features of the Virtual Marketplace include:
- One-on-one virtual meetings for detailed product demonstrations and conversations.
- Showcasing digital resources and product offerings to a global online audience.
- Customisable company profiles with logos, product details, and contact information.
- Availability calendars for scheduling virtual meetings.
- Listings for products and services for online browsing and ordering.
- Uploading digital downloads such as brochures and catalogues for easy access.
The introduction of the Virtual Marketplace is a direct response to the increasing importance of digital marketing in today’s business world. By offering this platform, ZITF is helping companies along the mining value chain to enhance their digital presence and forge stronger connections.
To ensure exhibitors can fully leverage the platform’s potential, ZITF has invited them to complete their profiles and explore the features, with the technical team ready to provide assistance.
Organised by the ZITF Company in partnership with the Ministry of Mines and Mining Development, the Chamber of Mines Zimbabwe, and the Zimbabwe School of Mines, Mine Entra has long been a key networking event for the sector. It provides a vital link between suppliers, policymakers, investors, and other stakeholders.
Registration is now open for the Mine Entra 2025 edition, which will run from October 8 to 10 under the theme: “Beyond Extraction: Sustaining the Future of Mining.” ZITF has reported strong interest, with more than 173 exhibitors already confirmed to participate, representing a broad range of sectors including mining, engineering, transport, and construction.
